E-waste Management Policy
We at Videojet Technologies (I) Pvt. Ltd. (Videojet), believe in providing quality service to our customers without causing negative impact on the environment. Videojet strives to improve environmental performance of its product throughout its life cycle, by adopting best in class E-waste management practices.
Videojet’s recycling program reflects our efforts for E-waste management to eliminate environmental problems.
What is E waste?
As per the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016; which came in force from 1st October 2016, E-Waste refers to the electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumers as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes. E waste contains substances that can have adverse effect on environment as well as human health.
Often E-waste comprises of toxic chemicals like lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) and Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs). If not disposed in a scientific way, E-waste can cause negative impacts on environment and human health.
General Scheme of Collection for safe disposal/ recycling of printers including cartridges by Videojet
- Customers with End of Life (EOL) printers and cartridges should reach out to Videojet’s customer service (contacted via a toll-free number 1800 203 1460) team;
- Videojet’s E-Waste collection plan is for PAN India and to execute the same Videojet has collaborated with M/s Gati Kintetsu Express Pvt. Ltd (Hereby known as “GATI”) for collection and channelization of E-waste from customer’s end
- Subsequently, the logistics team at Videojet will instruct GATI to deliver the collected E-waste to Videojet Central Warehouse located at Videojet Technologies (I) Private Limited, C/o. Padmavati Logistics, Survey Nos. 307,308,356 & 357 (P) Karaya Village, Vapi – Dharampur Road, Taluka – Pardi, District – Valsad, Gujarat – 396 191
- Further the E-waste at the Videojet central warehouse will be collected by the authorized E-waste recycler (M/s ECO Friend Industries) and deliver to their collection centre for recycling & disposal purpose at A205, TTC MIDC, Pawane, South Central Road, Navi Mumbai 400710;
i) Names/address of collection centre, reverse logistic service provider, courier service etc.
